Three Button Jacket Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace

This Three Button Jacket silver pendant is one of the oldest designs in Simone's archive, originally created almost 30 years ago while she was still a visual arts student.

The piece began as a hand-carved wax model before being cast in sterling silver, reflecting an earlier and more sculptural phase of Simone's jewellery practice. Unlike many of the later hand-pierced and etched archive designs, this pendant was shaped in three dimensions from the beginning, giving it a noticeably solid and weighty feel.

The design itself was inspired by a dear friend who regularly wore a vintage 1960s suit jacket and firmly believed that a good jacket should always have exactly three front buttons. That specific combination of personal style and conviction became the starting point for the pendant's quietly eccentric character.

Only a very small number of these pendants were ever cast, and even fewer were offered for sale. This particular piece now returns as part of the From The Archives range, marking the reappearance of a design absent from the collection for many years. The only other remaining version of this design is in Simone's personal jewellery collection.

The jacket pendant has a satisfying weight and presence thanks to its substantial sterling silver construction, while the brushed satin finish softens the surface and keeps the design feeling wearable rather than overly polished or formal.
