Pop Art Silver Statement Pendant Necklace

This Pop Art inspired silver necklace was originally created around 2007 during the early years of Simone's online jewellery business, when her first designs were finding homes through the newly established Etsy marketplace.

The pendant quickly became one of Simone's most recognisable and widely collected designs, shipped to customers around the world over many years. This piece is the final remaining example of the design, which has now been retired for a long time.

The portrait was designed to reference the visual language of artists such as Warhol and Dalí: reducing a famous face into a series of instantly recognisable shapes and symbols. Eyes, lips, brows and a single beauty spot become enough to suggest an entire cultural icon.

Each pendant was individually hand saw-pierced by Simone in sterling silver, requiring careful cutting and finishing to preserve the clean graphic lines within the metal. The handmade nature of the process gives the piece subtle variation and character impossible to replicate through mass production.

The softly brushed satin finish helps balance the boldness of the image, creating a more wearable and understated interpretation of what could otherwise become a very high-contrast design. The result feels artistic and sculptural rather than costume-like.

Most of our necklaces are adjustable. We typically use a standard (princess) length of 45cm (18"), with an additional 10cm extender chain, which allows adjustment up to matinee length (55cm / 22"). These are the most popular and versatile necklace lengths.
