Lily Etched Silver Statement Pendant Necklace

This lily pendant necklace in sterling silver began as an experiment over a decade ago, when Simone translated a vintage botanical artwork into silver using a hand-applied resist etching process. Although the pendant was completed at the time, it was never put into production, making this the only piece ever created from that particular artwork.

The floral design has the feel of early botanical illustration, combining delicate observational detail with a flowing decorative composition. The elongated leaves and stylised lily bloom also suggest a subtle Japonisme influence, adding to the pendant's calm, balanced aesthetic.

The pendant itself is generously scaled and gently curved to sit comfortably against the body. While it has a satisfying presence thanks to the amount of silver used, the sheet silver construction keeps it comfortable and easy to wear.

Rather than a highly polished finish, Simone chose a soft satin surface treatment which gives the necklace a more understated feel. The etched details appear as the light shifts across the silver, creating a quieter kind of statement than a highly reflective piece.

This one-of-a-kind necklace now appears as part of the From The Archives range, offering a rare glimpse into a creative experiment that remained tucked away in Simone's workshop for many years.

The pendant is suspended from a bright sterling silver chain adjustable from approximately 45cm to 55cm, allowing it to be styled at different lengths depending on your outfit and neckline.

Most of our necklaces are adjustable. We typically use a standard (princess) length of 45cm (18"), with an additional 10cm extender chain, which allows adjustment up to matinee length (55cm / 22"). These are the most popular and versatile necklace lengths.
