Framed Floral Silver Statement Dangle Earrings

These framed floral silver earrings began as experimental pendant designs created around 2012 while Simone was exploring ways to translate vintage textile patterns into etched silver jewellery. The designs were never released into production, making these earrings genuinely one of a kind.

Years later, Simone rediscovered the unfinished panels and realised the two designs worked beautifully together as a mismatched pair of dangle earrings for the From The Archives range.

Each oval panel features a different floral pattern sourced from 1920s printed fabric designs. Although the earrings are intentionally mis-matched, the shared design language and matching scalloped frames give them a strong sense of balance and cohesion.

The floral patterns were chemically etched into sterling silver before being blackened and carefully sanded back by hand. This leaves the recessed etched details darkened while the raised silver surfaces catch the light, creating strong contrast that gives the earrings an almost engraved or antique cameo-like appearance.

The hand-cut scalloped frames add another layer of vintage influence, echoing decorative portrait miniatures and antique jewellery forms while still feeling contemporary and wearable. The frames have a satin brushed finish.

These large silver dangle earrings make a distinctive statement without feeling excessively heavy, as they are constructed from relatively fine sterling silver sheet. The satin sanded finish and visible handmade details, including subtle tool marks, reinforce their experimental and handcrafted character.

The earrings are suspended from handmade sterling silver ear wires which add gentle movement and allow the etched surfaces to catch the light as you wear them.
