Basket of Flowers Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace

This Basket of Flowers silver necklace was originally part of Simone's jewellery range for a few years before eventually being retired. Although customers loved the design, the intricate hand-pierced fretwork construction made each piece particularly time-consuming to create.

The pendant was hand saw-pierced in sterling silver by Simone, with clusters of small flowers and leaves carefully cut into an openwork design. The delicate fretwork gives the pendant a soft lace-like quality while still maintaining a clean modern feel.

The surrounding oval form acts almost like a handle or frame around the flowers, which is where the design first found its name. While creating the piece, Simone was reminded of carrying a flower basket with a tall handle as a child while acting as a flower girl at her uncle's wedding - a small personal memory that quietly shaped the final design.

The contrast between the simple polished oval and the more intricate floral detailing helps keep the piece feeling balanced and wearable rather than overly decorative. The pendant also moves freely along the sterling silver chain, allowing it to settle naturally when worn.

This necklace now returns as part of the From The Archives range, marking a brief final reappearance of a design that has not been available for many years.
