We're back on deck after spending a couple of weeks taking a break after the busy festive season period.

For much of the time I was on a slow and meandering road trip from Sydney to Adelaide, via Melbourne. We stopped in at places like Merimbula, Sale, Healesville, Melbourne, Daylesford and Mt Gambier before finally arriving back home.

Along the way we saw lots of different - and often beautiful - landscapes, indulged in some culture, ate and drank some good things and visited some dear old friends in interesting places. 

Our adventures included finding what seemed to be a lost Japanese wine bar, checking out some Warhol and Weiwei, driving along dusty dirt roads while avoiding dozens of kangaroos and foxes and eating some rather stellar gelato.
