Unlike machine-made chains, this piece reflects a significant amount of skilled handwork. Each link is individually formed, joined and finished, giving the chain both its character and its strength. The result is a piece that feels noticeably different to mass-produced jewellery.

Why Handmade Chains Are Special

This necklace is made entirely by hand, with each solid silver link shaped, soldered and textured individually. This process takes time and care, but results in a chain with natural variation, strength and a distinctive finish that can’t be replicated by machine production.

To create this silver necklace, each loop is cut from sterling silver wire, linked together, and securely soldered. The entire chain is then hammered to add a distinctive texture that catches the light beautifully. Finally, it is tumbled for hours to achieve a bright, polished finish.

Made from solid sterling silver, the chain has a reassuring weight and durability, designed to be worn regularly and to last over time.

Most of our necklaces are adjustable. We typically use a standard (princess) length of 45cm (18"), with an additional 10cm extender chain, which allows adjustment up to matinee length (55cm / 22"). These are the most popular and versatile necklace lengths.
