Wondering about how things are working for us at Simone Walsh Jewellery during the Covid-19 pandemic? Here's the rundown.
(TLDR: orders are being packed and posted as usual, we are taking extra precautions to help keep you safe and we truly and deeply appreciate your support)
How we're working
Simone Walsh Jewellery orders are finished and packed in our small office and workshop in the Fleurieu Peninsula, outside Adelaide in South Australia.
We're a very small team and we have been practicing social distancing both personally and professionally for some time already to keep ourselves safe and ensure we can keep working.
Our working and packing areas are kept clean and we're now taking extra precautions as we're working.
Right now we have plenty of stock and packaging materials on hand and we expect to be able to fill orders just as quickly as we normally do. Every weekday we make brief, no-contact trips to the local post office to drop off orders.
Deliveries within Australia are currently taking the usual amount of time to arrive and we have no reason to think that will change at this point.
As far as we're aware international deliveries are also arriving in the expected timeframes, but check with your local postal service regarding any anticipated delays in your country and be aware that delays could occur at any time.
To be extra cautious, when your order arrives we suggest that you remove the outer satchel that your order comes in, dispose of it and wash your hands.
We need your support!
More than ever, we truly, madly and deeply appreciate your support: whether by shopping with us or sharing what we do with others.
It's going to be a very tough time for little businesses like ours, even though we're in the fortunate position of being a long established online business. With your support, little businesses have some hope of making it to the other side of this crisis and still being around when life starts getting back to normal.
If you're planning to send gifts to friends and family because it's going to be difficult to see them in person: we can certainly help with that, so please keep us in mind.
We offer gift cards or notes, gift wrapping and we're more than happy to send gifts directly to your gift recipients. We also have gift vouchers available, which are a great way to give the gift of choice.
Survive in style
Simone recently wrote up a list of ideas for how to survive social distancing and/or isolation in style and good humour. We hope you get some good ideas from it.
From our family to yours: we wish you all the very best for the coming months.
Stay safe, stay well and wash your hands!
